One of the first lenses to be issued with the original Leicaflex. It was a variant of the double Gauss design and totally different from the contemporary M-lenses. It had five elements with a cemented pair in front of the diaphragm. A second cam was added for the Leicaflex SL in 1968 and a third for the R3 in 1976. This lens is the cam 2 variation. The lens hood is built-in and extendable. The lens cam be fitted with electronics for the Leica R8, but third cam necessary.
