This high-speed wide angle compact lens for the Leica M system was introduced in 1996. By using an aspherical element it was possible to attain top imaging performance while staying sharp and contrasty. While using this lens you might want to use an optional 24mm finder for framing your shots as most M cameras only have the 28mm frame lines. This lens helps bridge the gap between the 21mm and the 28mm focal lengths. This lens also makes a great general-purpose travel lens.
