This is a Neutral Density Filter used for Cinematography. It has a Neutral Density of 1.8 (6 stops) and therefore reduces transmission by 98.5%. A common use for this filter is to allow the use of larger apertures, reducing depth of field, to allow selective focus and rack focus.
